The 10 Best Things To Do In Waukesha This Fall

Fall is filled with so many great activities. Marvel at Waukesha’s beauty, explore some hidden treasures and enjoy some of these classic fall activities. Here are our 10 favorites:

1. Go Apple Picking

Nothing says fall like a crisp, juicy apple. Check out one of the pick-your-own orchards in the Waukesha area and pick yourself some winners!

2. Collect Colorful Leaves

Drive through the forested neighborhoods and watch the beautiful leaves change colors. For added fun, pick some of your favorites and sandwich them between newspaper or waxed paper to preserve them.

Visit these great places to view fall colors and collect some leaves in the Waukesha area:

  • Holy Hill - a 1926 neo-Romanesque church is the main draw to this glacial hill, but the view may be even more spectacular
  • Lapham Peak - Lapham Peak is the highest point in Waukesha County, and features a panoramic view and plenty of hiking trails
  • Retzer Nature Center - The family-friendly Retzer Nature Center features a planetarium and plenty of good hilltop viewpoints.

3. Go to the Farm

Head to Cozy Nook Farm for over 40 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, squash, and corn. They also have cows, cheese and hay rides! It will be fun for everyone in the family.

4. Take a Hike
